Volunteer with UsFood for the Journey Project would not exist without the dedication of our volunteers who help with everything from food pick-up and preparation to database management and more.
Each week, volunteer shifts of approximately two to three hours are available at several locations throughout Dayton. Volunteers help with all aspects of preparing and serving food, greeting guests, and clean-up - all the things you would do for a meal served at home! And, volunteer shifts with FJP accomplish more than simply peeling potatoes or building sandwiches. Together, we provide hope and companionship to our neighbors. Food is our vehicle for compassion. Interested in volunteering with us? Fill out the form below, and we’ll be in contact with you soon. |

Many of our volunteers have amazing stories and hearts of service for others. Tom Archdeacon of the Dayton Daily News wrote a feature story on one FJP volunteer, John Sullivan, in May 2022.
